Ann R. Goodman

I was appointed Mrs. Goodman as a public defender. I was treated with disrespect. She wouldn’t let me explain the situation that I was in. There was details to my case that I felt would be relevant & helpful. Ann decided to make assumptions and judge me in a negative way for the mistake that had caus...ed me to be in court. When it was time for me to make a plea deal with the DA I asked her to ask for one stipulation and she kept telling me the DA wouldn’t do it. Until I insisted that she ask she was insistent on not doing it. In the end because of my persistence on it the DA did accept the terms. I was not listened to. I was not treated with respect. I was treated as if I was automatically guilty. I was constantly interrupted. when I left her office I was in tears because I have never been treated & talked to the way she acted towards me. In her office she had her dog and it smelled horrible, like her dog had not been bathed in a while. I would never hire her as an attorney!
