Fled the state with our money!

Paid him thousands and he fled the state, no reimbursement for not completing the case and no warning of him leaving! Last we spoke he was pressuring us to give up on the custody case and close it. We refused and he stopped all contact with us as well as his firm not calling back or answering the pho...ne. Went to the law firm and he wasn’t ever there then we find out the firm is closed and he left the state! We’re reporting him to the bar association!!!

Terrible Customer Service

Failed to communicate with us the past 6 months on the case. Once we began to question him he became rude and actually hung up on me. We still have not received any updates on information that may have been sent or information they may have requested from opposing council. Two weeks since Hegg hung ...up on me. Daughter has been paying him monthly payments per his authorization.

Difficult custody case. Great lawyer. Excellent outcome.

I hired Mr. Hegg to handle my custody case which seemed to be jinxed from the beginning. The attorney's I had hired previously just could not seem to get anywhere with my case and when I finally found Mr. Hegg in 2012 I had not seen my daughter since 2010. Mr. Hegg and his paralegal were amazing. ...They took the information I gave them about my case and dug into the details of what I had given them and were able to put all the pieces of my case together. While it did take a long time to get my case heard due to the amount of time necessary for the hearing, once we got to trial Mr. Hegg was brilliant in his arguments and in presenting the facts of my case to the Judge. In the end, I was awarded custody of my daughter. Mr. Hegg was always available when there was an emergency and if Mr. Hegg wasn't available his paralegal was. Mr. Hegg was always very clear when it came to court dates or court Orders as to what was expected whether it be questions about being present for a court hearing or interpretation about a Court Order. Any time I had/have questions about anything regarding my case I knew I could contact the office and my question/concern would be dealt with. If you are looking for someone who will fight for you and isn't afraid of a little hard work, Mr. Hegg and his team are it!

Highly recommend

He explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and did all the leg work for me. Even six months after my divorce I needed some documents and his staff sent me what I needed same day with no questions. Amazing lawyer and would highly recommend.

Great Lawyer

Mr. Hegg is very informative. I have never felt like I was left in the dark. If I was unable to reach Mr. Hegg, I would leave a message with his Secretary and I have always received a phone call back in a timely manner. I trust Mr. Hegg when it comes to legal help.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards

  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
