Knowledgeable, Professional, Personable with Positive Results

Richard Cook was recommended to us by another attorney. We had severe financial problems and were considering filing for bankruptcy protection. Our situation was extremely stressful. And, because my business was failing we had very little money. In the first meeting, Richard reviewed all of our info...rmation, requested additional information, where necessary, and explained all of our potential options. Once we provided the additional information he presented his recommendation, fully explaining his logic and the bankruptcy laws that drove that logic. He was clear, succinct, and kind, which significantly reduced our stress level. He was also reasonably priced and didn't keep adding additional costs. We filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy protection. Richard and his assistant Ruth guided us through every step of the bankruptcy filing and we were able to eliminate most of our debt, while keeping some semblance of self respect. We now have a fresh start and no longer feel that every day presents insurmountable financial obstacles. Richard Cook offers outstanding knowledge and results at a reasonable cost. We are so grateful to have worked with him.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
