Angela M. Hatley

I have been a client of Ms Hatley since 2008. Angela with out a doubt is the best lawyer I have ever known and I have worked with many in my professional career and my personal situations. With her help we started with me having my daughter being taken from me by my x in a very underhanded way after ...my 15 month brutal deployment to Iraq to later my obtaining custody. As with all service members and being male in a town like Fayetteville the cards were definitely stacked against me. But angela and I never gave up during the 3 year battle. She worked a payment program with me because I was In a bad financial situation due to having to pay child support and my x leaving me with numerous unpaid bills and expenses. Over time we slowly build a strong case. I never in my wildest dreams thought we would win but we did. Now years later my daughter and I are thriving and I have been promoted numerous times and my life and career is on track. Some day I might write a book on my experiences to help service members going thru divorce and custody. Angela and I have kept a strong relationship to this day and age checks on us. I have also kept employing her services as residual situations with my x continue ie her not paying child support. I would recommend one approach divorce like a long war and build a strong relation with your lawyer. Angela gets that and never leaves your side. Also do not go info this fight on the cheap or you will not win. I basically knew this would be the case. All in all I spent approx $15k over the three years and was given time after to pay it off. It was worth every penny and I don't pay child support. In fact I get a check every month.

I hired Angela back in May of 2015 to handle my divorce and during that time there were some charges that were brought on by my husband that were false accusations stating that there had been domestic violence. My husband took my daughter and wouldn't let me know where she was. I was pregnant and sca...red to death. Angela worked very hard to get an emergency custody order to get my daughter back safely. Her and her office worked diligently on my case to dismiss the charges that I was falsely accused of and I was able to move back to my home town. When my baby was born, we went to court for child support and my husband was being difficult about not wanting to pay child support for the baby and even accused the baby of not being his own child. He actually didn't show up for court and lied to a judge about his duties to the Army so that he wouldn't be able to go to court the next day. Angela got us to court the next day and I came out of that court room with a child support order. I was pleased with the work that she did on my case. It has been extremely difficult because I moved out of state but she and her staff has worked hard on my case and I appreciate everything they've done.

Mrs. Hatley took on my case after my children were given to my their mother who had told the court I was unfit and was never in my children's life. I was so frustrated and upset and before paying Mrs. Hatley a dime she confronted my ex lawyer and told him as soon as she was hired he better be prepare...d because she was going to fight it. AND SHE DID!!!! It took two years, DSS was called on me several times with false allegations, I was put on child support (which Mrs. Hatley also took care of), each time we went to court she reassured me everything was going to be okay. Her patience and knowledge of the law not only turned around the custody order but the Judge granted me SOLE Physical Custody. I'm so thankful God allowed me to hire Mrs. Hatley!
