I do not recommend this lawyer for divorce proceedings.

I chose him hoping that he would help me through the divorce process and stand up for my rights, but I could have done it without his "help". At the first meeting he read out what my rights were and towards the end of the process he started to insinuate into me that I had no right to get support. The... communication with him became very unclear and I realized that he was more interested in calculating the hourly fee than in looking out for the interests of his client.

Worse Ever!

This attorney was good for one thing, running up bill. He would never return calls, messages or emails. Provided some of the worse advise. Misquoted many states laws which he claim I needed to follow concerning what I need to pay. Disrespectful and dishonest. ...

Ghosted me after I moved during Separation

I hired Mr. Cooke for a Separation/Divorce. We consulted in person one time. Perhaps talked again once or twice over the course of 3 years before Divorce final. I was transferred out of state, and called his cell/emailed him dozens of times during separation issues without a call-back or response. Hi...s one staff person acted in his stead most of the time, and I was billed as if I was talking with him. The worst part was he insisted I was required by law to pay a portion of my civilian fed pension (Not military) to her, for life, which equaled 25% of my monthly payment. He ghosted me and my ex after telling me we had a court date in Fayetteville (I was living out of state). He was a no-show, and didn't even give me an explanation or apology. I found out after I signed the papers, that the federal law he cited on permanent alimony applies to military spouses with military pensions- not my case. So this is a matter I am fighting to rectify legally. What a mess.

Thankful

I'm so glad that I was recommended from a a friend to use Mr. Cooke. He is a great attorney and his staff is awesome. If I had to through everything allover again I would be right back with them.

So glad He was my attorney!

Mr. Cooke and his staff were amazing in helping me with my child custody case. They were able to help me get through a challenging time. They were consistent in making sure my ex was held accountable for nonpayment, and violations of court orders. They also were very honest with me and what were ...rational expectations for my case. Mr. Cooke works very well with the other attorneys and was always able to work things out for me and my children. The staff were always well prepared, returned my phone calls, and processed paperwork in a timely manner. If you’re looking for a firm with integrity and honesty, this is the place you should go to.
