Worse Ever!

This attorney was good for one thing, running up bill. He would never return calls, messages or emails. Provided some of the worse advise. Misquoted many states laws which he claim I needed to follow concerning what I need to pay. Disrespectful and dishonest. ...

Ghosted me after I moved during Separation

I hired Mr. Cooke for a Separation/Divorce. We consulted in person one time. Perhaps talked again once or twice over the course of 3 years before Divorce final. I was transferred out of state, and called his cell/emailed him dozens of times during separation issues without a call-back or response. Hi...s one staff person acted in his stead most of the time, and I was billed as if I was talking with him. The worst part was he insisted I was required by law to pay a portion of my civilian fed pension (Not military) to her, for life, which equaled 25% of my monthly payment. He ghosted me and my ex after telling me we had a court date in Fayetteville (I was living out of state). He was a no-show, and didn't even give me an explanation or apology. I found out after I signed the papers, that the federal law he cited on permanent alimony applies to military spouses with military pensions- not my case. So this is a matter I am fighting to rectify legally. What a mess.

Lousy Repesentation

Mr Cooke represented me in my divorce. He did nothing for me! Whatever my ex-wife lawyer wanted she got with no argument. My ex requested $1600 a month for child support for 3 months and she was awarded it even though I am a disabled veteran with a award for the VA of only $3200 a month. My ex wife r...an up a bill for $83000 and I was ordered to pay it. I had to give my ex wife my house that I had years before I married her and was ordered to continue making monthly payments until it was paid off. I have been fighting the child support order for years without Mr Cooke's help. The court had stated I was require to pay child support till my 18 year old daughter had graduated high school. First, my ex wife home schooled my 3 children, not one of them ever received a high school diploma, secondly and most important, when my daughter turned 18 on 25 April she got married 2 days later. Regardless, I was still ordered to pay $1600 per month for April, May and June even though she wa married by the magistrate in Fayetteville on 28 April. So please beware, Mr Cooke will not stand up for you even if you have presented the facts to him. He buries his head in the sand. When you call, he never gets back with you. Please I implore you, find a lawyer who will go the extra mile, doesn't make back alley deals that are not in your best interest and you know nothing about anything until the judge reads the judgement order in the courtroom as your are standing there in total shock and bewildered about what just happened. Don't be surprised if within hours of the judgement that you receive a letter stating he's no longer your attorney of record. In better words "F" you, you're on your own. PS: If you really want a good lawyer, you should hire my ex-wife's lawyer, he is far better than Mr Cooke! At least he'll make sure he has your best interest at heart!!!

Best Lawyer Ever Beyond Satisfied.

I went through a very tough divorce and custody battle for my 2 daughters, needless to say I won custody of my girls and didnt have to pay alimony to my ex wife of 10 years. Mr Cooke and his staff are beyond professional, I was always updated on the progress of my case, and was able to talk to someon...e when I had questions or concerns. I followed everything he advised me to do and it worked out perfectly. Words are just not good enough of how grateful and satisfied I was to have Mr Cooke and his team as my lawyer. I would advise anyone do not waste your time or money going anywhere else, consult with Mr Cooke and have confidence that he will get the job done, and a big key follow his advise.

The Man

As a client of Mr Cook’s I was very pleased with his work. I had a very difficult and lengthy case and was thankful Mr. Cook offered thoughtful guidance and was tenacious handling my case. In addition, his staff was always responsive to my questions and assisted with information requested by the cour...ts or other party. Mr Cooke set aside time via phone to discuss strategy sessions prior to each hearing and offered sound advice during our time in the courtroom. This was even more critical as I live out of state. I was most pleased with the outcome of my case, as a result of Mr.Cooke’s work and the of his team. I would highly recommend his services
