She did not take my case
I met with Martha Ramsay 2 months after my accident at work. My condition was worsening even though I was under the care of a worker's comp doctor. I was new to this whole process; she had great online reviews so I figured, I would seek her legal advice. I drove to Ms. Ramsay's office for a consultat...
I’m sorry the reviewer has had a frustrating workers’ compensation case. Any consultation we have with a potential client in our office is confidential. Therefore, I am unable to respond to the comments left by this reviewer. However, we take all of our client's complaints of pain seriously. We know that doctors make mistakes and that sometimes it can be difficult to diagnose conditions. I am glad that the reviewer was able to get the medical treatment they needed and legal advice. Our firm takes clients with significant or catastrophic workers’ compensation injuries, which disable them from work. Unfortunately, clients who have lower earnings at the time of their injury tend to have lower valued settlements because workers’ compensation does not compensate for pain and suffering, but rather compensates only for medical treatment, loss of time out of work and permanent injury. I hope now that the doctor has made a correct diagnosis, the reviewer has a full recovery.

"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Martha for years and she is a diligent and effective lawyer. I would not hesitate to refer a client to her for a workers' compensation matter."
"I have known Martha since we worked together about 15 years ago where she taught me about workers compensation and personal injury law. We often discuss how she operates her law firm to achieve results and look out for the interests of her clients and her plans to continue to improve and implement systems that are focused on her clients needs and best interests. She also expresses her frustration with the North Carolina workers compensation system and explains how she is able to overcome many of the obstacles her clients face within the system, how she assist her clients in obtaining favorable results in their cases and is able to provide assistance to her clients to push for them to the medical treatment and medical care they need."
"I've been privileged to know Martha for a long time as an active member of the Mecklenburg Bar, and a zealous advocate for her clients. As a mediator, I've seen up close the care and compassion she has for her clients. I enthusiastically endorse her as someone to consider as your champion if you have been injured on the job."

Won Settlement
The Motion was reversed. The driver's main car insurance coverage was exhausted when the full amount of the policy was tenedered, not paid. The Motion to Compel Arbritration with the UIM holders, then, was timely and should have been granted.
Plaintiff was awarded interest on any unpaid balances from the date of filing of the complaint, until paid.
