Walter Lee Bowers

Walter L. Bowers, Jr. is a native of Alabama. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at Miles College in Birmingham, AL. He was the student commander of his Reserve Office Training Company (ROTC) and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army where he was deployed in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He later served as a police officer in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) where he was awarded “Officer of the Month” in October 2009. He earned his law degree at Charlotte School of Law and was later assigned to the CMPD’s Police Attorney’s Office where he responded to claims filed against the CMPD. He later assisted with complex civil rights litigation filed against the city. He currently focuses on employment law, business law, and civil litigation.
