I am a business attorney who is passionate about giving my clients strong and effective legal representation. I know the importance of smart, frank, and cost-effective counsel—I grew up in a family of business owners and over the years have run a few companies myself. From highly complex litigation to simple collection work, I have the experience and attention to detail that generates results. I represent business owners in a range of practice areas, including contract disputes, collection matters, landlord tenant law, real estate disputes, new business start-up, contract drafting, and just about every type of civil litigation you can imagine.
In the past I have represented multi-national homebuilders against class action drywall contamination claims, assisted numerous clients with complex breach of contract claims, tried insurance coverage and damage claims, and represented hundreds of businesses in economic loss claims after environmental disasters. In addition to litigation, my general business practice includes setting up new businesses, drafting contracts including service and licensing agreements, and filing copyright claims to protect intellectual property rights.
If bringing a lawsuit is necessary, I will work tirelessly to fight for your cause. Through the initial filing of the suit, discovery, trial, and even appeal, I will keep you updated on the status of your case and what you should expect in the future. And even though I am a trial attorney by trade, I know not every dispute is best solved through litigation. If a settlement can be reached without a lawsuit, I will work towards crafting an agreement that makes you whole again.
While some attorneys are impossible to reach and seemingly always out of the office, I pride myself on giving each of my clients the individualized attention and personalized service they deserve. If your best efforts at solving a business dispute have failed, drop by and we can talk about the most direct – and timely – path towards a resolution.

Matt Villmer and his team did an outstanding job on my case. I couldn't be more pleased. They were on top of it from start to finish and worked their tails off to get me the best outcome. They took a huge amount of stress out of an incredibly stressful situation. I'd hire Matt again in a heartbeat.

Matthew Villmer was wonderful to work with. He took on our case as if it was his own. He was very professional , understanding, and always available to us. I would highly recommend him!

My company was hired to complete a custom home build. Halfway through the project the owner stopped paying and owed us a pretty large sum of money. After filing a lien on the property I hired Matthew to "perfect" the lien and attempt to get the money owed. Not only did he get the money that was ow...

Matthew represents myself and about 180 other families in a large consumer fraud case. Matthew has put a lot of work and effort into our collective cases, and I’m impressed by his integrity and tenacity. It looked dark early on with the first case and the flippant attitudes he must have encountered...
"I have worked with Mr. Villmer on several cases over the past year. He is a very effective and assertive advocate for his clients, and has always been exceptionally prepared for and poised in the courtroom. He is a tenacious advocate for his clients and a formidable, but dignified, adversary."
