Mr. Olsinski went to law school with one focus, to become a criminal defense attorney. Upon graduation and moving down to Charlotte North Carolina, he spoke with other attorneys in the area and decided to open his own practice. He opened the firm in January 2010 and has been growing his experience and the firm throughout the years. Mr. Olsinski has successfully defended cases from B1 Felony First Degree Sex Offenses/ First Degree Murder all the way down to Misdemeanor marijuana charges. He has been named a Top 40 under 40 Attorneys in North Carolina by the National Trial Lawyers as well as the American Society of Legal Advocates. He has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star for several years and was recently award the 2026 Super Lawyer Award. Mr. Olsinski now focuses his workload on serious felony cases in both State and Federal Court. Mr. Olsinski has successfully defended clients
through trial in Johnston, Pitt, Gaston, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Montgomery, Union, and Rowan counties. He has also had Federal trials in both Asheville and Charlotte in the Western District of North Carolina. He is licensed in the Western, Central and Eastern districts of North Carolina for federal court and enjoys traveling the State handling serious criminal cases. His primary case load is made of sexual exploitation, sex offense, statutory sex offense, indecent liberties, rape, drug trafficking and murder charges. 90% of his case load deals with sex offense related charges as his first trial in his career was an indecent liberties case where a Not Guilty verdict was entered, he has been successfully defending sex related charges his entire 16+ year career.
Mr. Olsinski is aggressive in his representation and his preparation for trial. He focuses a lot of his time in jury analysis and other trial techniques to make sure he gives his clients the best possible representation at trial, with a high percentage of his cases going to trial given the sex offender registration as a deterrent to any plea deal. Outside of court he enjoys reading about human psychology as to better understand how people think, to better serve his clients.
