James H. Henderson was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended Duke University (A.B. '83), Magdalen College, University of Oxford (Jurisprudence, 1985) and Wake Forest School of Law (J.D. '86), where he was on the editorial staff of the Wake Forest Law Review and President of the Student Bar Association He was admitted to practice law in 1986 in the State of North Carolina. He served as law clerk to the Honorable Marvin R. Wooten, Senior Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of North Carolina, from 1986 to 1988. His practice consists of debt workouts, state court defense and debtor and creditor representation before the United States Bankruptcy Court. He is a member of the bar of the State of North Carolina, the United States District Courts of the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Since 1993, he has been certified as a specialist in both business and consumer bankruptcy law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification. Henderson has served as Chair of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association Solo/Small Firm Section. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Bankruptcy Law Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association. His last review of May 2017 is very correct. He is an excellent attorney to make sure he gets paid. "I have to get paid even if you die" . Final outcome of my case was horrible and unfavorable. I agree with the other client who previously stated that Mr. Henderson secretly converses with opposing counsel and talks negatively about his clients. He withholds all the information he obtains with his verbal agreements with opposing counsel. He then proceeds to bill $100 for every email response...
