HE JUST WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!

I called him to help me in a case that my tenant did not pay the rent for 4 months. He said that I needed to go to his office to talk about that. after I went to his office I was very disappointed even before I started talking to him. he had a very small one room office , not clean with two dirty ch...airs with holes in it. The way he talked to me it was extremely RUDE. he insulted me and the way he treated me without giving me any good advise. Then after half an hour he tells me that his fee is $300 an hour and he demanded that I had to pay him right away. I gave a $300 check and I left his office

Worst Expericence I Have Ever Had

I hired Eric to help in an eviction case. He is, without doubt, the worst excuse for a lawyer that I have ever encountered. He is the most disengaged, disinterested, and non-client oriented lawyer I have ever worked with. He presents himself with a “holier than thou” attitude but his performance in...dicates he is totally lost. We received the reply to our complaint 5 July and Eric was supposed to begin the “discovery” phase in order to go to arbitration/mediation/court. As of 11 September 2019, he had done absolutely nothing to prepare for whatever was the next step. I fired him 11 September, had I known about his censures and reprimands by the Bar association and a 1.0 rating on Google, I would have never darkened his door. He refuses to return phone calls, and when he does return the calls, he asks for things I have given him already, and then he looks in the file and finds them. Apparently, he has no interest in me or my situation. He will tell you he will call then doesn’t, makes lousy excuses for not doing his job, and prolongs an already lengthy process. If you are in the market for a lawyer, avoid Eric Levine, he shouldn’t be allowed to practice. As someone else stated, he is a selfish do nothing...

RUN AWAY - he doesn't know what he is doing

I hired Eric for a lawsuit. He forgot to file for court costs in our lawsuit and was reprimanded by the judge in the court room in front of me. He has admitted to me several times he doesn't know how to do something and that is his excuse to not do his job. He drags out every little task for YEARS... and when you call and complain the first thing he will ask for is more money. More money? You haven't even done anything! After the case I received a judgment and he promised he would file all the paperwork to collect the money and gave me a quote for "the whole thing". It didn't take long for him to forget his promise and ask for more and more money. Meanwhile, all he was doing was running up the costs and since he never filed for court costs he was the only one getting anything out of it. It took him an ENTIRE YEAR just to figure out how to get the sheriff to serve the judgment. He then told me that there is nothing else we can do when there are proceedings to force a debtor to come to court and explain why they claim they are broke. He told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I then called the clerk of courts and sheriff who both told me my lawyer is a dolt and is supposed to know the next steps. He is a selfish do nothing... RUN

Eric should not have a license to practice law.

I hired Eric Levine to represent me in a Custody and Visitation Family Law matter. His propensity for failing to communicate with me and opposing counsel was reprehensible. He never presented information to me when he received it nor did he ever physically file any motions or complaints that he sta...ted he would. He caused me to lose a weeks vacation with my children because of his failure to respond to opposing counsel in a timely manner. His billing practices are an abomination and tantamount to extortion. After I fired him he continued to bill me and subsequently pursued me for a judgement for an invoice that simply said 26 hours- services rendered in ______vs______. He claims that I owed him 6,200 after I paid him 7,000 He has since filed a notice of Levy to take my personal possessions such as personal items in my home. Needless to say, this man is the type of person that gives attorneys a bad reputation. Actually, I wouldn't call him an attorney and if your reading this, do yourself a favor and run, do not walk, run from this person. And for the record, this information is public information.

Do not recommend this lawyer

Based on my own personal experience with Eric Levine I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND him to anyone looking for a family court lawyer. After sending some letters to the other party he stopped answering my phone calls. My case matter was unresolved and I am very unsatisfied.
