I have been empowering businesses and individuals for over 10 years. Most of my clients mirror who I am as a person: self-made, hardworking, tenacious, dedicated, innovative, and fearless. Whether it is advising clients on how to protect their business’ assets, or preparing a witness for trial, the goal is always the same: to empower the client, to make them stronger, better, more prepared so that they can reach their goals and succeed. I consider several of my clients to be close personal friends and try to approach each new client with the intention that the relationship be a lasting one.
I have had the unique opportunity to see the practice of law from a variety of different viewpoints having worked for a North Carolina State Court prior to going to law school, clerked for the Department of Justice during law school, and working for a large United States Government contractor and private law firms after graduating law school.
I am a Master Gardener with the North Carolina Mecklenburg County Extension Master Gardeners, and a member of Frazier Park Community Garden. I am also a member of Carolina Breast Friends where I try to offer advice and comfort to individuals who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
After being the first in my family to graduate from college, I left the comfort of my hometown in Eastern North Carolina and moved to Washington, D.C., where I quickly became a foodie. I prefer to spend my free tim surrounded by nature and can often be seen gardening with my partner George in the front yard of their home, riding my bike to the office, and walking out cats, Roger Parker and Marco Money, on a leash in Freedom Park.

Consultation with Natalie Potter
Was referred to Natalie for legal advice on a complex Estate settlement that crossed state lines. She was able to efficiently drill down on the legal issues and provide competent direction on future steps to resolve the numerous open issues. Time and money well spent!!

Natalie Potter review
I had a consultation with Natalie Potter concerning a job termination and settlement. I could not be more pleased with the advice and ethical way she handled it. Extremely nice, easy to talk with and committed to integrity.

"Natalie is a very accomplished lawyer who, in addition to her legal skills and experience, is passionate about her clients and gives them straightforward advice concerning their legal needs and options. She is very thorough in her research and preparation, a vigorous advocate for her clients' interests, and highly professional in her dealings with judges and adversaries. I have had the good fortune of working with her in many situations and have been able to see her work first-hand."
"Natalie does a great job with Trademark searches and IP litigation. She is very experienced and knowledgeable in her field."
"Natalie brings a breadth and depth of experience to every legal matter she handles. In an age when most attorneys know a lot about one corner of the law, Natalie has a broad perspective from handling a lot of different types of cases over her 10+ year legal career. She sees connections, implications, and effects that others may not. I particularly endorse Natalie for matters involving serious personal injury, insurance questions, business/commercial work, and intellectual property issues (trademark, IP, branding, and the like)."
