After 9 years of receiving 3rd party disability benefits, the insurance company requested I do an independent medical exam. Shortly after the exam, I received a letter that my benefits would be terminated because according to the exam, I could do my work duties with no problem. This couldn't be furth...er from the truth. I didn't have to have a lawyer to file the appeal but expected it would have to go to court for things to be made right and get my benefits back.
