Bad Lawyer

This guy is literally the worst attorney I've ever come in contact with. In the 3 years since we hired him he has personally returned 2 phone calls. He filled the law suit 1 year ago and that has been it! Not one call since then. We can't find him so I guess we can kiss all the money for medical bill...s goodbye. Don't hire him. If I could give him 0 stars I would.

this guy is not reliable

Craig has represented me for many years or i should say has not represented me . Ive tried to settle my case with craig but nothing gets done. He said he would file for ss disability for me only to have me file it . When i made a mistake in submitting it , it was lost he said he would do it for me bu...t he either didnt or wont and it has been almost a year or more with nothing being done. He will not return any calls or emails. this has been going on for several years. his office phone # was disconected so i had to call the lawyer he worked for when he was givin my case only to be givin some really bad news you never want to hear about your lawyer. i had to call the state bar to file a grivence and only then did i get his new number . he still has not returned any my calls. in my workers comp case he has given me poor advise which has led me to make poor dicisions regarding my settlement. ive tried so many times to contact craig with no response i have no choice but to find a new lawyer. I would recomend you NOT hire this lawyer to represent you. he will not call you back or respond to your emails, he will however have an excuse why he didnt IF you talk to him. ive even camped out at his office to try and catch him but he is so seldom there it is a waste of time and effort which to me seems to be the norm in trying to communicate with this lawyer . if you need a lawyer my advise is keep looking.

This is why lawyer's get a bad name

Mr. Asbill is very unreliable. He does not return phone calls or emails as promised. Client communication has clearly not been important to him. With outstanding bills being sent to collections, and no responses from his office, it leads one to become extremely untrusting of any lawyer. Unfortunate...ly, Mr. Asbill states he will do one thing, and then does nothing. He seems unclear on how to effectively do his job, which leaves the client either holding the bag (i.e. credit collections) or having to be the one to take care of it (i.e. make phone calls, send emails), which is supposed to be why the lawyer gets paid. Don’t get me wrong, he seems honorable in the beginning, as well as shows care and concern, but it quickly dissipates, so a word to the wise... go somewhere else, investigate your choice, and ask LOTS of questions. He has made no attempt to contact me or reply to my voicemails. There is always an excuse when he FINALLY follows up (i.e. illness, out of town, and even losing his paralegal). Okay, I understand illnesses happen. I understand being out of town, but seriously??? Unless he went to the African Congo with no WIFI, a simple email cannot take place? Is there no way to change the message for voicemail or emails to “Out of the office” anymore? It should not take three weeks to respond and then state “I was out of town last week.” The math doesn't add up. What happened the other two weeks? I have contacted the bar associations that Mr. Asbill is affiliated with in the hopes of jarring his memory as to why lawyers are supposed to be on the client’s side; hopefully, this will save others a lot of headaches. I would not recommend Mr. Asbill to my enemy, let alone people I consider my friends.

personal Injury Case

Mr. Asbill Client Communication has clearly not been an essential aspect of his representation. I had a settlement to occur February 2014 and payment toward my medical claims were NOT submitted until the month of JULY 2014. Unaware it was partial payment. Mr. Asbill assured me the full payment wou...ld reach the healthcare provider immediately after I signed the settlement check and that negotiation settlement between himself and the hospital healthcare provider reference my hospital bill/balance had transpired and they were in agreement with the hospital settlement for the debt. Unfortunately That was found to be untrue. I have made several attempts by telephone and physically visited his office seeking clarity on why I have a large balance remaining. There was undesirable balance remaining and I have been unable to reach this attorney. Mr. Asbill has made no attempt to contact me or reply to my voicemails. He was initially advised on our first consultation my concerns to satisfy the hospital debt and submit payment. Due to my fear of it affecting my credit. Because the healthcare accounting department have been adamant about receiving monies for a remaining balance. However, I expressed to Mr. Asbill paralegal throughout the personal injury case my primary concerns was take care of the medical bills. It was and has been a CHALLEiNGE to get feedback from Mr. Asbill. My desires and requests were NOT fully met. Mr. Asbill has failed to communicate returning no telephone calls and often when I request to speak with him I have on many occasions spoke with a paralegal at his office. Now when I call I get the voicemail only. Client communication clearly is not essential aspect of his attorney representation. I would not recommend him to any of my colleagues or alumi at the UNCharlotte college campus. Does not have his client best interest in mind and did not make favorable efforts in demonstrating communication to me as his client. No follow up by Mr. Craig Asbill with correspondence i.e. email, or letter nor telephone. I am currently still trying to rectify this issue.
