You should get legal advice from a workers comp lawyer before you quit. You need to know exactly what effect it would have on your claim.
My lawyer has never requested my medical records for my Workers Comp claim.

You can't rely on the doctor being accurate on that point. He is not usually in a position to even know about that stuff.
