I am the lucky mother of three wonderful children who is originally from Minnesota but has lived in North Carolina for over twenty years now. I was a special education teacher in North Carolina for 11 years. The inequality that I saw facing my students with special needs brought me to law school. Now I am living my dream by giving children and adults a fighting chance against a system that has already labeled most of its population. Whether you face struggles in fair treatment in the school or fair treatment in the criminal courtroom, I am here to fight right along side you.
