Roots and Motivation

Born and raised in North Carolina, Palmer's early life was marked by a passion for debate and a desire to help those in need. These traits, coupled with encouragement from her family, steered her towards a career in law. She obtained her B.A. in International Relations and History from Salem College, where she honed her advocacy and community service skills.

Before law school, Jennifer spent five years in talent management with a global specialty retailer, building a strong foundation in client service, responsiveness, and relationship-driven work. She brought that same client-first mindset to the University of North Carolina School of Law, where her experiences in legal clinics and community-facing work reinforced her belief that legal guidance should feel supportive, accessible, and empowering.
