Richard Brian Sorrell

A small law firm in Concord, NC dedicated to providing outstanding, big-firm type sophisticated legal services with a personal touch.  We assist our business clients with formation, planning, regulatory, and transactional matters as well as operational concerns.  Through Estate Planning and Asset preservation we deal with all aspects of asset preservation, management, and transfer.  We assist after the loss of a loved one with trust and estate administration, including probate.  And our Elder law practice focuses on the unique needs and concerns of seniors.  

As for our attorney, Rick did not set out in life to be a lawyer.  He worked in radio for several years (and when that did not pay the bills in various other jobs) before returning to college and graduating with a B.A. in Biblical Studies.  Rick went on to receive an MA from a Seminary located in North Carolina, and worked in various church and para-church ministries.  Rick entered Indiana University School of Law (Bloomington), and graduated with a JD, and while in law school spent 2 years working for then-United States Congressman Mike Sodrel.  Rick attended functions with the Congressman, served as a policy analyst, drafted position statements, and answered the concerns and needs of the residents of the district. 

In 2008 Rick began the Sorrell Law Firm with the mission of providing quality legal services with personalized attention and focused upon the needs of the client.  Rick seeks to offer his clients affordable and practical solutions that are tailored to their particular needs in a stress-free environment.  And to focus upon what is best for his clients, not what serves the interests of the firm.
