Recently, we hired a new lawyer, Jennifer Robertson, to represent my husband in Child Support Court in Cabarrus County, NC. Originating more than 10 years ago, the case has been before the courts numerous times for various reasons. It has been my opinion that Cabarrus County Child Support court is no...toriously unfair to not just him, but most fathers. Jennifer's representation resulted in an actual FAIR decision by Judge Hamby at TRIAL (not just a negotiation with DSS). In the multitude of times appearing before Judge Hamby in a child support trial, this is absolutely the FIRST time we were fairly, competently & thoroughly represented! She listened, didn't just "take the easy road", actually spoke to us on the phone, was very responsive to all questions, and although she deserves a life too worked with us to put together the final pieces of the case trial on a Sunday! She is a fresh breath for Cabarrus County! It does make me wonder if my former opinion of Cabarrus was wrong. Now wondering if the problem was the lawyers, maybe we just needed a GREAT LAWYER!
