After admittance to the North Carolina State Bar in 1998, I began my career as an associate attorney with Kellogg & Evans, P.A., in Manteo, NC. In 2006 I joined the firm of Aycock and Butler, PLLC in Nags Head, NC as an associate attorney, where I worked until October 2014. With 16 years of experience behind me, I opened my solo practice on October 1, 2014. I have a general law practice, and possess a wide range of experience in the legal matters that are most common to our area.

Reasonable and gets the job done
Matthew worked on my driving ticket and got it reduced to a non-moving violation. He charged the most affordable fee compared to other lawyers I consulted ($150 + court costs). He and his office assistant were very responsive and easy to work with.
