COURT APPOINTED

He mislead my son, told him a plea deal was in place for him to receive probation. Batts told him this on several occassions when he spoke to him in the jail. A week before court Batts brought him the agreement to sign, my son noticed probation was not mentioned just the reduction of charges. When... questioned Batts told him probation didnt have to be in the greement but the judge can give it to him in court. Went to court and sentenced to 4-8 months prison, first time nonviolent offender. RICHARD BATTS WAS A MISLEADING LIAR IN MY SON'S CASE.

Look for someone else!

I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. His office failed to communicate what was happening with my case. He did not return phone calls and ultimately cost me my case.
