Susan M. Brown

Sue Brown is an attorney, mediator, and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst who works to reduce hostility and tension while guiding clients through difficult family law issues.

She uses mediation and the Collaborative Divorce Process exclusively, out of a strong belief that these techniques can produce positive and effective solutions without the emotional destruction and expense associated with divorce litigation. Sue is experienced and approachable, with both a deep understanding of human psychology and motivations, and a comprehensive knowledge of North Carolina family law.

Sue Brown is certified as a mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission, is a Certified Divorce Analyst, and is specially trained in the Collaborative Divorce Process. She is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals; Collaborative Divorce Experts of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill; and the North Carolina Alternative Dispute Resolution section of the North Carolina Bar Association. She has been working closely with clients navigating difficult transitions since 1994.
