Worst non-responsive attorney I ever had to deal with. Someone referred him to me. And immediately I see problems. Mr Headen was lnt familiar with traffic laws so I continously had to update him on changes. He clearly over his head in this area. So I tried to end any agreement we had and he refu...se to refund me. I contacted a new attorney and got immediate results.

My son was without his license for 15 years. He had tried reaching out to other attorney's but was not successful. We reached out to Attorney Headen and explained the circumstances surrounding his case and he immediatly started to work on it. There were fines that had been paid off that were still s...howing up at DMV. He researched all that information, and within a month , we were in court and my son had his license back. As an out of state driver I had to hire an attorney to represent me in court since North Carolina forces you to appear in court for traffic tickets rather than simply giving you a fine. I paid $125 for his services and while he did appear in court for me, he would email me telling me that I need to a...ttend a driving school program to receive the best plea. Again, I just wanted to receive a fine to get the process over with and I live out of state as I mentioned so I could not attend a driving course in the state of North Carolina. I emailed him telling him this and he wouldn't respond until the next trial date where he sent the same email he had two month prior. Again I responded saying I am not able to attend an out of state driving class and again I received no answer from him. At this point I should have called the court myself but that was almost just as complicated. I finally was able to pay my fine 10 MONTHS after the initial incident because I received a notice from my states MVA saying my license was about to be fined for missing a trial. Alamance fined me $315 so at the end of the day I ended up forking over $440 just for driving 86mph in a 70mph zone.

I contacted this attorney in 2008 to help resolve driving privilege issues in NC. Upon speaking with him he assured me that my case was easily resolvable. I entered into a contract with him for his services in 2008, paid him a retainer fee of $4500 and have have had little to no response from him! To... date, I've had one court appearance, which ended up being a waste of time because the case was continued. That was in 2009. Since then I have called and emailed him NUMEROUS times about my case and have received one returned call and no email responses! It's now August 2013 and my case is still hanging in the balance with no resolution! I have sought other legal representation to resolve this matter and am filing a law suit against him in small claims court to receive my fees back! Do not work with this man! Whichever law school granted his degree needs to be closed down. I find his lack of response to be unprofessional and unethical!

I received a letter from this attorney when I got a ticket. I really needed help and his website was really professional. I submitted my case, received an email that it was accepted and then never heard a word back. I called and emailed for 2 weeks and then, with only 2 weeks left before the court da...te, I had to find another attorney. Don't contact this guy - his letters and web are great - his service doesn't exist.
