General Counsel to a growing Durham, North Carolina based SaaS company. I provide practical legal advice to further ReverbNation's business objectives, identify legal risks to the business, and serve as advisor and business partner to the Executive team as well as the Board of Directors.
I oversee, identify, and take action on all legal issues which affect ReverbNation. I manage day-to-day legal operations to provide legal management best practices, review, draft and negotiate a broad range of complex agreements and ensure compliance with contractual commitments. I implement and maintain corporate standards and procedures for records retention, retrieval and disposition of ReverbNation’s vital business records.
I also manage intellectual property issues (including patents, copyrights and trademarks) and I assist with negotiations to ensure the business interests and objectives of ReverbNation are clearly identified, adequately protected, and the risk of loss or liability is minimized. Finally, I manage any outside counsel that ReverbNation retains for specialized legal expertise.

Branded Threads Co.
I have had many opportunities to use attorneys, unfortunately, but in this case...it was an excellent experience and Jean is a true gentleman to work with, on any sort of legal issues.
"I have worked with Jean on a number of toxic tort cases in the last 3 years. He is a very astute and accomplished attorney."
