My practice focus’ on the representation of design professionals in construction disputes.  For the past several years, I have spent the bulk of my time working with architects and engineers of all disciplines (mechanical, geotechnical, civil, structural, etc.) in construction issues related to residential and commercial projects.  They span a variety of types of projects as well…multi-family, single family, hotels, parking garages, dormitories, retaining walls, and cover the state from the mountains to the beach. 

And while my practice now is primarily defense oriented, when I first began litigating construction claims, I was representing plaintiffs who were concerned about the workmanship and other issues with their homes.  I worked diligently with experts and my clients to address their concerns.

Whether I am representing homeowners, architects, engineers or any other client, I am equally as comfortable in the office working with clients, reviewing documents, interviewing witnesses, talking with experts, arguing motions or working with mediators and opposing counsel to try and reach resolution of these complex matters.  And ultimately, if settlement cannot be achieved, I am ready and able to take my clients to trial and present their case to a jury. 

In addition to litigating construction cases, I work with corporate clients to compile handbooks to help ensure employees understand and have access to company policies as well as understanding state and federal regulations on employment issues.  I help these same employers navigate claims which are made with the Employment Security Commission, the EEOC and other administrative agencies as the need arises.  And if necessary, I will walk clients through the litigation process with these employment issues just as smoothly as I do with her construction cases.
