The initial process with John Orcutt's office was fairly simple. They were more than happy to get us on payroll deductions to handle our filing. However, once our case had been processed, the support completely stopped. We can't get support reps to answer questions, return calls/emails, or identify w...here the initial payments (over $7k paid by check while establishing payroll deductions) have gone. It hasn't been credited to our account in the 2 1/2 years that we have been involved in this process. We have only received one statement regarding our account the entire time. Getting any information from this law office is incredibly frustrating. We filed Chapter 13, due to medical bills that we accrued when our son had to be hospitalized in Critical Care for almost 10 months. After he died, the bills continued to mount. We turned to John Orcutt's office, and were relieved when the process was underway. We thought that it would be a new beginning for us, but our relief was shortlived. If you are in a position where filing for Chapter 13 or 7 is your only option, I hope that you will consider finding an attorney who can provide support both before and after you file. You won't find that with this attorney.

We just completed our Chapter 13 using the Fayetteville NC office. Mary and Christina and the entire staff were pleasent, professional and made us feel very comfortable. I filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy with John Orcutt in 2002. The process was very smooth. I felt at ease with the paralegals. The experience was so much more pleasant than I thought it could ever be. I found Mr. Orcutt to be a very caring attorney. Unfortunate for me, I had to file a chapter 13 in 2...008. I did not even think about going to another attorney. Horrible experience, Filed for Chapter 13 over 2 years ago and we are worse off now then we ever have been. Our mortgage was never behind before just some other bills and our debt to income ratio was extremely high. Using the chapter 13 is what was recommended to us and it has screwed us over more th...en we were to start off with. We now owe MORE on our house then when we started over two years ago, Nothing has been erased as a debt. Every time I call our paralegal who handles our case she tries to blow smoke up our behinds. Trustee is completely incompetent in paying what is suppose to be paid.
