Focused on winning the case
Edgerton Immigration Law did an exceptional job to completion of my case. They kept me informed and most of all mitigated any possible issues that could arise in advance. I felt like a real counsel service that was more interested in getting the case done quickly and properly than billing hours. They are affable which is more than most attorneys and welcomed a call to ask questions.

Very Frank.
On the issue I consulted her about, she was indeed open and truthful, qualities that I respect in any person. Let her keep up the spirit.

Great lawyer: at least do an initial consultation with her !
I ran into a tricky immigration situation as my work-permit under OPT expired. I was/am a researcher/professor in one of the in-demand disciplines of Business. Because of the tricky situation, I needed to be sure that I pursue the best option available to me including EB1 and NIW. Thus, I needed a competent immigration attorney who was affordable as well. My case is currently under processing. Irrespective of what happens, here is why I am writing this recommendation on behalf of Ms. Laura Edegerton. a) I did a paid initial consultation with three firms and a free consultation with three more - including big firms. Before every consultation I had visited their websites and looked at their review. In the initial consultation, I tried to assess whether the attorney is someone I can work as a team and whether she/he is knowledgeable/competent enough. If the two criteria were met, then I considered the affordability issue. One attorney based in Greensboro seemed outright incompetent even though his review online was very impressive. Obviously, I had done some research on my options and had known some nuances. He was unaware of the information what I could find online or on USCIS pages. Another was affordable and seemed competent but I did not connect well in initial consultation as he appeared pretty “assuming” type. For ethical reason, I cannot spell the names here. The others were otherwise Okay but costly - in one case, almost 2 and ½ times of Ms. Laura Edgerton’s fees. b) I was able to work with her as a team – as if I was working with my co-author researchers. She is very prompt in correspondence and forthcoming. She patiently listens your issues and sincerely provides you the answer/her take. She does not try to shadow or beat about the bush on issues if she does not have an instant answer. She says she will look into it, and she does. It would perhaps be an exaggeration on my part if I say something like she is “hands down the most competent lawyer” because I did the consultation with only 6 firms and chose her. That said, I can certainly endorse that she is highly competent. And I can, without any embellishment, say she definitely is the most sincere. c) I also found the staffs at Edgerton Law Firm as great people (friendly and prompt) to work with. In conclusion, if you live in the Research Triangle area of NC or the Piedmont Traid area and need an immigration attorney, at least, do an initial consultation with her before you settle with any other attorney. Chances are you will go back to her like I did. I highly recommend.

worse lawyer and money hungry
hello i was looking for an immigration lawyer for my case and I booked an appointment with her ,she did not like me asking her questions about my case, and honestly, she did not have direct answers, she used Google to search some of my questions answers and when I told her why she did not have answers right away she said, she has to search for answers and contact me later, my wife and I were disappointed and confused at the same time, she waisted our time and took our money and we did not have any answers for my case,
