Hired, Attorney never done anything on my case in other a year

I started an appeal with Attorney Jurney for custody. She didn't do anything on my case for over a year. Afterward, I decided to drop the appeal since the other party filed a motion and moved my case to another county, which was approved by the judge. Attorney Alicia has promised a refund, and almost... 2 years later, nothing. They do not answer their calls or return emails when supposed to. I have had mercy and have waited months before writing this review, in fact I wrote a review about 4 months ago, and they reached out to me and told me they were going to get my refund just so I can take the review down, but never heard anything back after multiple emails.

Exceptional, compassionate, calm. Only wish I found her sooner!

Ms. Jurney is representing me in a child custody and support case. Throughout the prep work to the temporary hearing, I was thoroughly impressed by the amount of information we were able to exchange at each meeting, how quickly Ms. Jurney comprehended complicated expenses and child support calculatio...ns, and how well Ms. Jurney prepared herself was for the hearing. Going into the hearing, I already knew that not only was Ms. Jurney a highly effective lawyer, she had also well familiarized herself with the details of my situation and the disturbed mental state of the defendant to be able to handle the examinations well. For me, facing the defendant who abused me for over 10 years was terrifying. Ms. Jurney's calm, confidence, compassion and faith in me was the key that helped me remain calm and focused. From my observation that day and my past experience at other (50B) hearings, her professionalism and competency clearly stood out in the courtroom. I feel very fortunate to have Ms. Jurney representing me.

Very knowledgeable with attention to detail!

I contacted Ms. Whitlock with some questions about drafting contracts/agreements to help cover me in the event that the hostile opposing party I was dealing with at the time tried to screw me over. I wanted something that would help me protect myself if this person ever came back later on saying I ...had not provided something, or that I had damaged some of the property I was supposed to exchange. Ms. Whitlock helped me develop contracts and agreements to settle the issues. She provided a clear explanation of how why the contracts were a good idea, and how exactly they would help cover me from future problems. She knew exactly what to do and crafted the documents I needed quickly. They were everything I was looking for and I used them in my settlement with confidence that I had the protection I was looking for. I have also seen Ms. Whitlock in some of her family court proceedings and she is extremely effective as a litigator. While my issue ws simple, she is clearly capable of much more and I would not hesitate to retain her services in the future should I need an attorney. Grab her up quickly before your opposing party gets her. You won't be sorry you did!

Exceptional Family Law Attourney

Alicia is a highly skilled, competent and knowledgeable attorney. She helped me tremendously to stay calm during mediation and solved all the problems with professional skill, digging at the opposing party for the needed info. I already recommended Alicia to my friends and will keep doing so. I would... hire her in a heartbeat again if ever needed. Alicia is extremely effective. I am forever grateful for finding her.

Disagree

While I am sure Ms. Whitlock-Jurney is very capable as an attorney, that was not my experience. After paying for my services I did not receive the care and responsible attorney she represented herself to be. I was very disappointed at the service I received under her care.
