Outstanding Family Law Firm
We have been working with Daphne, and her staff, for several months now. Daphne has been worrking on Grandparental us related to a nasty divorce my son is going through in NC. I could not have anticipated better communications and service from Daphne and her staff. Someone is always available to answer my concerns and Daphne always keeps us current on the status of the case and her plans of action. In addition, if I have to leave a message with them, specifically for Daphne, I ALWAYS get a prompt call back. We could not have selected a better firm. We don't wish what my family is going through on anyone but it is great to know that we have Daphne's and her staff leading and guiding us. I highly recommend her and her staff.

Highly satisfied Client!!
My wife and I made an informed decision earlier this year to go after primary custody of my children from a previous marriage. We researched and chose Daphne and her team based on reviews from multiple sources. Needless to say, the positive reviews have been on point! Unfortunately, our case was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but Daphne and her team have stayed in continuous contact and made sure they captured our concerns. Before we made it to the initial hearing, one of my kids had a serious issue which warranted a emergency hearing for custody. Daphne not only responded immediately, but quickly gathered all need information and prepared the case. At this point, Daphne's poise, expertise, and tenacity came to bear in court as we encountered unexpected circumstances. Instead of the judge looking over the order and making a decision, we instead had an impromptu hearing. Daphne's ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome a difficult situation, which we had not fully prepared for, was on full display. She not only helped me stay calm and collected, but used testimony from multiple sources to develop a rock solid case for our side. At the end of the day, her efforts led to a temporary custody win. Not one to rest on an initial victory, Daphne immediately began developing strategy for the next hearing as soon as we walked outside the courtroom. I cannot say enough about Daphne's expertise and tenacity, and would not have had the same result with a lesser lawyer. My wife and I highly recommend Daphne to anyone looking for an outstanding family law attorney. She is highly effective, and very open and honest when discussing the case with you. We are extremely happy with our decision and would hire Daphne and her team again with no hesitation!

Conflict and Resolution
Divorce is always messy and emotional. No one "wins." Daphne was able to help me navigate the challenges of a divorce with speed and efficiency. I did not get everything that I wanted, but the process was fair and efficient.

I just went through a very difficult separation. Getting to a legal resolution required excellent prep work by Daphne and her team. When we went to mitigation, Daphne and her team were much better prepared than the other side and we were able to negotiate a settlement which was very much in line with my original offer. She kept me closely appraised of all developments along the way. Daphne did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend her to anyone that is going through a separation or divorce.

she did what I thought would be nearly impossible.
Daphne was amazing for me. my son's mother took him several states away and I thought it was going to be nearly impossible to get him back. I left her a voicemail on a Saturday and didn't expect to hear anything till Monday at the soonest. to my surprise within an hour of leaving her a voicemail she called me back. threw the entire process of building our case I was devastated but she constantly re assured me that it was going to be ok and she was going to do everything she could to get him back to me. I truly felt that I was in great hands and that she seen and felt the pain I was in. she was amazing swift and efficient at threading threw everything we needed for the case with constant double checking everything especially because of the differences in the 2 states laws. she was always in great contact with me with every step of the way even when I was out of the state to retrieve my son after the emergency custody was awarded to me. when we went to court I was truly ready for anything with her at my side. she so efficient and direct it made court seem like it was over in just a few minutes. after winning my case she followed up with me several times to make sure things were going well for me and my son. she truly felt like my guardian Angel in my darkest of times and she brought the light back into my life. I would absolutely recommend Daphne to anyone.

Custody Agreement
Daphne Edwards did a wonderful job helping me obtain a custody agreement that was in the best interest of my son. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped us keep the process moving. She was patient with my "what-ifs" and provided answers to all of my questions. Daphne was professional and compassionate at all times. Although I was terrified to start the process, Daphne put me at ease and gave me a solid path to peace of mind. She laid out the process for me and walked me through to the end. Now that the process has been completed, I would like to say that I am grateful for Daphne's services and the resulting custody agreement! Emergency Custody and Sole Legal/Physical Custody
Daphne, helped me to obtain emergency custody of my son when he was in danger. She worked with me to obtain sole legal and physical custody as well. Daphne is very personable and cared whole heartedly about the welfare of my son, where other attorneys showed their focus was on how much money they were going to make. Daphne made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process. As difficult the stress of going through any custody motion can be, Daphne was very supportive and I would recommend her to anyone. I am forever grateful for what she was able to do for my son and I. Post-separation agreement
If you are looking for an attorney to negotiate a separation agreement, Daphne is a 10/10. She was very good at communicating what the status of negotiations were. She took time to figure out what I was willing to agree to and what I wasn't. In the end, she saved me a boat load (probably closer to two boat loads) of money and helped put my mind at ease regarding my financial future. I was having a lot of trouble separating the emotional aspects of my separation and the financial aspects. Daphne took an immeasurable burden off my shoulders during a very tumultuous time. She is worth every penny, and paid for herself many times over in dollars saved.

Custody dispute
We hired Daphne to represent us regarding a custody dispute. She is very knowledgeable and informative and explained the process to us in a way we could understand. Daphne always had time for our calls and/of e-mails and responded quickly to both. We are still in the process of working through the dispute but have been very happy with the work she has done so far. She is also very compassionate and we really feel that she care about our concerns.

Grandparent Concerns
My husband and I had been referred to Daphne Edwards by another attorney. We were distraught with the threat of not being allowed to see our grandson. We told our story and Daphne was very detail-orientated in taking her notes. She went above and beyond the due diligence of research on the laws and applications of grandparents' rights. Attached to an email she had included an article, from a law journal, on current grandparent privileges. Daphne is not only a professional, but shows compassion for the individual's situation.
