She is the owner and sole practitioner of the Scharff Law Firm where she specializes in criminal defense, expungements. She assists domestic and sexual violence victims by representing them in protective orders and Title IX hearings, defending them in criminal cases so that a criminal record does not act as a barrier to escaping an abusive partner, and representing non-predominant aggressors in criminal defense cases as a primary prevention strategy to help foster economic stability- one of the greatest protective factors for living violence free.
Amily is a supportive and nurturing attorney for LGBTQ+ clients and is available to represent clients or provide advice for members of the queer community seeking name and/or gender marker changes.

Disappointing
I am extremely disappointed that I hired Amily for my case. I ultimately had to drop the DVPO against my abuser. Understandably, Amily is busy with court, but I did not feel my case was given much attention. I never even met her and she preferred to discuss important matters over text.
