Took my divorce case after consultation. Supposedly worked on it until I was on vacation in another state. Had her secretary notify me 1 week before my court date that there was a conflict of interest. I felt like she had gotten a case offering more money and didn't want to be bothered with my case.... I had to request that she submit a continuance for me, so she had my husband's attorney submit it for me? They refunded my retaining fee but kept my consultation fee of $150 until I called and complained that I would NOT have consulted with her if her office had done their job and recognized the conflict of interest before I even walked through their door. I was severely disappointed as I felt she would have done a great job.
