Monica Layne Sessoms

Layne has been inspired to advocate and counsel clients experiencing family law matters since she was a young child. Often called “the family mediator” by loved ones and family members around her, Layne seeks to passionately advise and assist clients through extraordinary challenging and emotionally-exhausting troubles. Layne desires to empathetically listen to any issues a client experiences because she understands the complexity and difficulty of familial disputes. She is committed to being a zealous advocate for her clients.

Layne was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She attended Appalachian State University located in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina and earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a focus on Child Development and Social Sciences. After graduating from her undergraduate studies, Layne attended Campbell University School of Law. Here, she became convinced that family law and mediation were her passions and focus.

Layne spends most of her free time at the coast on Oak Island, North Carolina with her family. She also loves hiking around the beautiful parks and lakes in Raleigh.
