This man is an absolute life saver! I was dealing with two misdemeanor charges and could've faced 4 months in jail for crimes I never committed. Had I been convicted, I would have lost everything to my name despite only being misdemeanors. A day after I bonded out, Matt was on the phone with me ready... to assist me and help clear my name. So I was in a situation where I was accused of something and I didn’t know what to do. I got myself into a situation when I was at one of the lowest points in my life. Mr. Faucette was the 2nd lawyer I contacted and what made me choose him as opposed to the other lawyer was his quick responses, willingness to work with my financial situation at the time, and most importantly his faith ...in God. I am a person who believes in the power of prayer and faith and Mr. Faucette always ended our interactions with something like “be blessed”. The part of the review you probably want to read is that he was sure to keep me updated when my case got continued and was VERY thorough in explaining details after he got my case dismissed for me. He also always assured me that he’d do what he could to get my charge dismissed. Now, he is also handling my expungement and I have faith that it will go as smoothly as the dismissal of the case. You won’t go wrong in choosing him for your defense!!

I had a serious felony charge against me that occurred as a result of me having schizophrenia and commiting a crime under those influences… upon my arrest and subsequent hospitilazation, my wife called out to several lawyers, and matt was the first to respond to her, and please note this was also ...while he was on vacation at the beach with his family. During the initial conversation with my wife, he assured her , that although the charges where serious he believed he could get us a positive outcome regardless of how it looked on paper. from that moment on things weren't so dark for me and my family anymore. From the very beginning Matt has always treated me and my wife with respect and dignity throughout the whole process regardless of the circumstances and how it looked . he never treated me as a criminal and always made me feel comfortable with matt I believe it is truly about the work and not the money he puts his heart into all that he does., so now its onto court and after the first couple of court appearances and just as Matt said, we where given a very fair outcome by the judge that required court appointed appearances every 6 weeks for an entire year, and as usual Matt was there every time and never once asked for an additional penny to compensate for the court appearances and time… so now finally its been a whole year now and my charges have been officially dismissed and the case closed, Matt will be now working to get my record expunged and I can finally put this nightmare behind me and my family . and I have Matt Faucett to thank for all of that... he always did what he said he could do, nothing more nothing less, I also know he devotes a lot of his time to charitable causes overseas in third world countries and in my eyes a CLASS ACT ALL THE WAY. We approached Mr Faucette for a possible early expungement in 2015 before the new NC expungement law passed in 2017. Beyond the consultation, we didn't hear much from him after we paid the fee, which was three times of that from another lawyer we used later on to file the expungement in 2017. I u...nderstand that it may have been more difficult before the law was passed, but what was concerning was that it was difficult to hear from him or get a straight answer after the fee was paid. If we did receive a response, it wasn't a concrete no, this can't be done, or yes, we can move forward either. It wasn't until the law passed and I reached out about it, that I received an almost immediate response and was quoted another fee to have it filed. We decided to go with another attorney and the record has since been expunged, and we have moved on. It was an expensive lesson learned.
