Hired Mr Reece because he came soooo highly recommended. But, I never once in the 12+ months he had my case, never once did he return my calls. I was definitely NOT kept in the loop. Every time I called to see what the status was, one of his employees, paralegals, receptionists "took a message" as Mr... Reece was always, always, always out of the office, the country, or in court. Honestly, it wasn't until I went into BI*** mode that I got any response or information. I don't know if Mr Reece just is too busy, doesn't need new clients, doesn't give a SH** or if he just needs a better , more efficient, informed & diligent staff. I wouldn't retain him again, sad to say...

I received a dwi at a checkpoint. As bad as that was going downtown was even worse. I contacted Michael Reece and sat down to meet with him. He took the time to talk to me about every angle and was in contact with me the entire time. CASE DISMISSED!!!! I have heard of all these bad ass lawyers in... Smithfield but none of them can beat this guy!! Do yourself a favor and hire him!

Got a speeding ticket traveling through NC going 83 in a 65. Even though I had exactly 0 prior offenses, I was given a court date in lieu of a fine. I'm a student in Virginia, and contacted Mr. Reece asking for his unbiased assessment on whether I needed a lawyer for the case or not. He advised me th...at I could probably do an online driving school and represent myself in the case and have the charge reduced, but that there was no guarantee this would help. I did the online driving school and Mr. Reece got my charge down to operating with an improper speedometer, which has no license or insurance points in NC. He was polite, honest, and fair with me in answering my questions, and his fee was reasonable (and cheaper than me having to pay for gas and a hotel to make my court date.) Hiring him saved me a lot of money in the long run, I'm very glad that I did. The only thing I wish he would've done was be a bit more communicative (he didn't reach out to me really ever). However, when I emailed him I always got a prompt, personal response. Cannot recommend enough!

I was heading toward Florida to enjoy there my little vacation. With all such excitement I was in a hurry at empty I-95 at 2 am.
