Helpful and Honest

Got a speeding ticket traveling through NC going 83 in a 65. Even though I had exactly 0 prior offenses, I was given a court date in lieu of a fine. I'm a student in Virginia, and contacted Mr. Reece asking for his unbiased assessment on whether I needed a lawyer for the case or not. He advised me th...at I could probably do an online driving school and represent myself in the case and have the charge reduced, but that there was no guarantee this would help. I did the online driving school and Mr. Reece got my charge down to operating with an improper speedometer, which has no license or insurance points in NC. He was polite, honest, and fair with me in answering my questions, and his fee was reasonable (and cheaper than me having to pay for gas and a hotel to make my court date.) Hiring him saved me a lot of money in the long run, I'm very glad that I did. The only thing I wish he would've done was be a bit more communicative (he didn't reach out to me really ever). However, when I emailed him I always got a prompt, personal response. Cannot recommend enough!

Helped me in a bind while I was out of state

I saw the lights flash in my rearview mirror. I pulled over like I learned in school, kept my hands on the wheel and did exactly what I should have: until I found out my license was suspended. HOW? HOW COULD THIS BE? ...for a NC Ticket that I had long since forgotten about. I was in Maryland, my h...ome state - I got home and called Reece & Reece. Holy Moly. I had a Failure to Appear on my record - Mike took care of it almost the same day and got me setup with a new court date, all before I was schedule to go to court in Maryland and all while I was in MD, and he was in NC. The court date came along and I waited with anticipation. I probably emailed him 100 times and called him 100 more. If you don't hear back right away DON'T WORRY! He's a busy guy, and for good reason. because he's incredible. I heard back the day after my court date that the charges were dismissed. They broke the mold when they made Mike. I was assured by his office at every turn. You're at peace with Reece and Reece. (you can use that, btw) Why are you still reading? Stop reading and just pickup the phone. Thanks again.

Does a Good Job

He is my regular lawyer for traffic tickets. He always gets it reduced to something that won't hurt my license. I had one really bad one and he told me that it would be tough to get me out of it but he would try and it would take a while. He got me out of it!!!! I send all my friends to him.

Very Good Lawyer

He handled my stepson's DWI and got it dismissed in court when he confused the officer on some stuff about how he stopped him. He went out to where it happened with us and so he knew more about the roads than the officer did. He did a great job.

"I have known Mike Reece since college and became re-acquainted with him when I returned to NC to practice law in 1998. Since that time, I have seen Mike grow into one of the most respected attorneys in the specialty of criminal defense. He has defended clients in cases ranging from misdemeanors to first-degree murder. His skills as a defense attorney have been apparent not only in trials, but also in his work on criminal appeals as well. Mike is never afraid of taking on the prosecution in defense of his clients. His work is top-notch and if I were in trouble I would want him on my side."
