Trusted Guidance and Successful Outcome!

I had a great experience working with Attorney Leonard. From the very beginning, he was professional, knowledgeable, and truly committed to my case. He took the time to explain every step of the process in a clear and reassuring way, which gave me confidence during a very stressful situation. His... attention to detail and dedication to achieving the best possible outcome really stood out. I always felt like my concerns were heard, and my best interests were his top priority. Communication was prompt and consistent, and I never felt left in the dark about what was happening. Thanks to Attorney Leonard’s expertise and guidance, my case was handled efficiently and successfully. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate attorney.

Unfortunately, I must recommend against.

Although I think Mr. Leonard is good-hearted and means well, I must recommend against hiring him as a lawyer. As a top-line matter of concern, he was ultimately unable to recover anything at all with his negotiations, while my own personal negotiations did. While this is always a risk with legal matt...ers, I don't feel that representing myself should be more effective than hiring professional representation. I found him to be pretty uncommunicative and unresponsive to messages - on more than one occasion, I was left without a response for a week after multiple followups through the client portal. I was very close to releasing him as my representation due to these issues when the demand letter was finally produced. The demand letter itself was quite frankly sloppily written, containing many grammatical errors and misstatements of fact. There were sentence fragments and . There was a misspelling in the domain of *his own email address*, in the *letterhead*. I have no idea how long that went uncaught before I called attention to it in my own editing process. The misstatements of fact included things like "my age", "my gender", and "the nature of the discrimination". The letter referenced racial discrimination when my claim was based on disability - I am not of a minority/disadvantaged race. There were at least two references to events which simply didn't happen. I was referred to as "she" multiple times, when I am not a woman. I was claimed in the letter to have professional experience that would have only been possible if I had started work in my field at the age of 6 years old. I don't know if these issues got corrected because I didn't hear from Mr. Leonard for a week after I called attention to them. When I did hear from him, it was to tell me that the letter had been sent more than a week prior. I never received a copy of the actual letter that was sent to my former employer, so I simply have no idea if these issues were corrected. Whatever did get sent, I didn't get a chance to sign off on it. I don't know if there was any follow-up negotiation after the initial demand letter because I wasn't informed of it. Overall, it was a frustrating and unfruitful experience and I don't believe that the quality of work I received met my expectations for a legal professional. In particular, the sloppy writing, factual errors, and hallucinatory events are very concerning. Mr. Leonard's practice should take serious steps to make sure that future written representation is much more carefully edited and fact-checked, and that anything that is sent has been fully signed off on by his clients before transmission.
