unless you are actively paying her money, she isn't interested...

my dad wanted to get a will put together and asked me to accompany him to his appointment. i had found Janna online and thought she could help us. backstory, i am an only child and my dad gave me power of attorney years ago after mom died and i had been helping him with his finances. when we m...et Janna, she pulled my dad in her back office and asked me to stay outside and that it was private. i didnt think much of it (other than coming across rude) and thought they would pull me into the conversation eventually but that never happened. that was a few years ago and now my dad has moved into assisted living and is trying to dot his i's and cross his t's and make sure that he has everything in order. He is confused by the bundle of paperwork that Janna put together for him and wanted to get some clarification. i reached out to Janna and spoke to her office admin and told her that we needed clarification on the items that Janna had previously put together. She asked me to put a few questions together and email Janna directly. Janna's response was "bring me your documents and for $350 i can go over them with you". I told her that i didnt expect to have to pay again to have her explain what my dad already paid for.....and that had i been in the room during the initial meeting, that i could likely have explained things to my dad now. i asked her again if she could just answer a few of the questions on the email or if i could bring my dad there to ask her directly and she never responded and ghosted me. it seems that its all about the money for her and unless you want to pay her, she doesn't want to talk to you. i should have stuck up for ourselves more when she asked me to wait outside. i also didn't read all the poor reviews that she has and trusted that she would be better than that.

Experienced with Medicaid Applications

Janna Wallace helped my sister and I apply for Medicaid for our elderly mother. She has a lot expertise in this area and was highly recommended to us by Navigate NC. It became evident from our first meeting that we would be in good hands. She walked us through the Medicaid application process and cle...arly outlined what she would need from us. It was a great partnership from the beginning. She made a stressful process more bearable. Janna always responded to my questions in a timely manner and gave sound advice. She was also very patient and supportive throughout the entire process. My sister and I would highly recommend her if you are seeking a professional and experienced lawyer for Medicaid applications and other elder law issues.

DO NOT HIRE HER FOR ESTATE/PROBATE MATTERS! SHE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THEM!

Janna was recommended to me by another female attorney who described Janna as "aggressive." She is NOT aggressive in my opinion, and is NOT a "litigator." Janna ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY, MONEY, MONEY! I hired her as my 2nd attorney in an estate matter, and I so wish I had not hired her. I found Janna t...o be very rude, cold, immature, unprofessional, and uncaring. Janna knows absolutely NOTHING about estate matters. She abruptly walked out on me in the middle of a hearing. TRUE! MONEY AND GETTING PAID IS HER TOP PRIORITY. Do your research folks and be careful who you hire. A lot of lawyers will recommend another attorney as "excellent" when they're really not. Apparently, it's the 'ol "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours" mentality. That is very bad for a potential client. My intention in posting this review is in the hopes of helping others. Legal matters are stressful enough, but having the wrong attorney just adds to a client's stress and frustration. Sadly, all factual.
