An attorney who really cares...

If you have ever told, or laughed at, the usual lawyer joke you hear these days your impression of lawyers will be shattered when you encounter Mr. Roderick Allison, Esq., located in Creedmoor , NC. I recently had what almost any attorney would consider an absolute nuisance of a case, and in fact the... 4-5 attorneys I contacted prior to reaching Mr. Allison gave me numerous different reasons why they could not help me. Now I was seeking help with a court that was at least a 5 hour drive from my home, and which involved a traffic citation (seat belt violation as a passenger, no less) that was 25 years old, so I expected to be blown off and dismissed accordingly, and I most certainly was turned down in short order with each call. Then, as a somewhat last resort I called the “Allison Office,” yes that was how it was listed, which was not like the title of any of the attorney offices I had chosen prior on the list I received from Hyatt Legal Services. An assistant in the office listened to my description of the circumstances fully, which had not been the case prior, and he then asked me to hold for Mr. Allison. Well, Mr. Allison came on the line in short order, and greeted me with a cheerful sounding “How can I help you ?” , and did so with a tone that sounded more like “How can I be of service to you today ?” I immediately got the sense that this man (with a servants heart) genuinely wanted to find any way he could to help me, regardless of the obvious nuisance, and somewhat hopeless, situation I had described to his assistant. He simply said he could not make any promises, which was actually refreshing, even as it was disappointing at the time, but he would make a call on my behalf and advise me of the outcome the following day. Now I will be honest, at this point I really expected him to make a half-hearted effort, if any real effort at all, and to let me down nicely the following day. Here is where I owe Mr. Allison the most sincere and heartfelt of apologies for my usual cynical nature, especially where it involved attorneys. I did not expect to hear back from him any time soon. Sure enough, just as he had promised to do, he contacted me the next day to tell me that after consultation with the District Attorney in that county, which was even an hour drive from his office, he had been able to get the citation dismissed. Within the 24 hours that followed it most assuredly had been dismissed, as promised. It saved me close to $400, which for a public school teacher is no small sum. If you ever have the opportunity to work with the Allison Office in Creedmoor, NC, please do not do as I almost did and judge a book (office title) by it’s cover, and most importantly do not miss the opportunity to work with one of the most honorable Southern gentleman I have ever encountered in any field !!!

Speeding Ticket assistance

Roderick was awesome! He personally handled my case, communicated frequently, and the advice that he gave me (take a defensive driving class) along with his appeal to the District Attorney resulted in my case being dismissed. No court fees and no points off my license. That was the best outcome po...ssible, and I have never had a speeding ticket case dismissed in the past when working with other attorneys.

  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
