Estate Planning 80%

"Estate" is the legal term used to define your property and money—basically, everything that belongs to you. Estate planning attorneys tell you different strategies you can use to transfer your belongings after you die. By planning your estate, you can maximize its value by minimizing taxes and eliminating court costs and interference. Estate planning attorneys also help you control and protect your estate during your lifetime.

Probate 20%

Probate is the legal process used to carry out a person's will after their death; a probate attorney advises you on how to perform the steps in the process. In general, once you have identified and collected the dead person's belongings, including their money, property, and other assets, you pay the person's debts and taxes. Once all debts have been paid, you distribute their money and property according to the language of the will.

An incredible lawyer

I worked with John on my divorce separation agreement case. John was my coach for the case. I worked with another lawyer prior to working with John. I spent a lot of money with her and din't get too far with the case and was discouraged about what I was going to get from fighting the case. I ...feel really fortunate to have found John after that. John was very encouraging and supportive right from the start. This helped me stay strong through the entire case ordeal. John is very knowledgeable, smart and compassionate. He is also extremely responsive. I find these combination of qualities rare in a lawyer. He truly cared about my case and his constant encouragement gave me the strength to keep going at times when I wanted to just give up. My case ended with a settlement that I was happy with. There is no way I could have done what I did without him. I am really grateful to him for all his help with my case.

Great Person

Mr. Fernandez was very amazing in handling my case. Well I didn't even have a case however I was at my wit ends trying to get help from court to get a subpoena from the medical examiner office to be able to get social security benefits. I had been dealing with this for 6 months now and could not get ...a straight answer. Mr. Fernandez offered to help me he went ABOVE and BEYOND and got me the subpoena! He was very prompt in returning calls, and texts and emails. And followed thru with his promises. He most of all listen to me and didn't try and pawn me off to somebody else. I recommend his service. He took an interest into what I was saying and he acted on it, and I am for ever grateful for his service.

By far the best attorney in Raleigh

There are so many wonderful things I can say about John - Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but he also truly cares. I am currently in the middle of a custody case with my ex and John has been not just an advisor, but also a mentor to me during this time. He makes me think outside the box and p...oints me in the right direction so I focus on the most important issues at hand. He is always available, extremely responsive, and goes above and beyond with everything he has done. There are no other attorney's I know of who would be on vacation with his family and still providing emergency guidance to a client. I can't say enough good. If you are looking for someone who doesn't just treat you as a number, who you can rely on to give good advice and direction, and who goes above and beyond what is expected of him, John is it!
