Cameron Jordan Marks

Cameron Marks took the scenic route to Triangle Smart Divorce. Raised in Arizona, she headed to the University of Arizona for her undergraduate degree before making her way east for law school. It was during an internship at a family law firm during undergrad that she realized she had found her calling. From that point forward, family law wasn’t just an option; it was the plan.

She kept testing that plan at every step. During her time at Campbell Law, Cameron worked in the Gailor Family Law Litigation Clinic, externed with a family court judge, and seized every opportunity to witness how cases progress from start to finish. By the time she joined Triangle Smart Divorce as a law clerk the summer before her final year of law school, it was obvious she belonged here. We thought so too, and offered her an attorney position right then and there.

Cameron thrives on the variety and fast pace of family law. She’s detail-oriented and steady under pressure, but she also enjoys the challenge of following the money in complex cases. She believes all law is about helping people, but family law is unique because you can actually see the progress you’re helping clients make in real time.

When she’s not in the office, Cameron relaxes by building intricate Harry Potter Lego sets and insists she never ends up with any unnecessary leftover pieces (she is quick to point out there are supposed to be some leftover pieces!). She keeps up with Reese’s Book Club and loves spending time with her dog, Boots — whose feet, despite the name, don’t look a thing like boots. And while she doesn’t pick sides in the Triangle’s sports rivalries, she does cheer for Arizona basketball.
