Jared Edward Hammett

I trusted Jared Edward Hammett an attorney with Kurtz and Blum law firm with protecting my best interests with my divorce. I patiently waited for months with unanswered questions, no returned communication and motions and filings he outright lied about filing. I have suffered financially an...d legally for over a year and paid $16,015.22 to his law firm. To date I have not received any communication about his lack of filing my divorce and had to hire a new attorney.

I've had quite enough of attorneys who return your emails and phone calls when they bloody well feel like it, if at all, as if you work for them. No, they work for you. Why do they persist with this imperious, arrogant attitude? Because no one calls them out on it, that's why. Mostly because ...people who go to attorneys already have enough on their plate. When I hired Jared, I told him it was with the stipulation that he not pull this all-too-common hallmark of attorney arrogance, of blowing off clients. Specifically, I told him I expected him to return my calls/ emails within at least 2 or 3 business days. He agreed. Well, we got started, and not a peep out of him for about a month, when he was making inroads for me, but not advising me. I complained, and he promised better. Then I sent an email with some questions. After hoping and praying in vain for 10-days that he might deign to respond, I promptly fired him. He didn't change one thing about how he normally blows off clients, even after personally agreeing to respond to me in a timely manner. So after firing him, I got the first correspondence, finally, including a letter from the opposing party, which I didn't know about, saying they would offer me a rather meager sum to part ways. I took it, as I no longer had representation, and thought it was better than nothing. I have a theory that during intro to law, they have a class on how to never respond to your clients. Some naive student in the front row sticks up his hand and says, "But professor, these people who come to us are going through difficult times in their lives, and have paid us thousands in retainers. Shouldn't we act like we actually work for them, and treat them with some courtesy?" Then a trap door opens under his seat and he falls into fire in the basement like on Austin Powers. Just a theory.

Unfortunately, I thought I did my homework with this guy and found the best all around attorney for my custody/support case. I'm sure I don't have to explain how serious and important proper representation is in a case like this, and communication is the key! In the beginning communication was good, ...however it dwindled to nothing. Not returning phone calls or emails or text, mind you, I was only reaching out to him on rare occasion, after/before court dates. I thought he wasn't even practicing anymore. I wouldn't recommend him at all!

Jared Hammett, By far in all of my years dealing with Attorneys is the BEST ATTORNEY EVER!! Hands down the BEST and Very affordable. Mr Hammett is worth a lot more than he charges and consider it the BEST investment forever. To be honest, I think Mr Hammett does not do it for the money in my belief, ...but does his job for the Love of helping others out in HARD TIMES and doing right and whats the best interest of the child. For I would never have been able to afford on how good of a lawyer he is that gets proven results. I would have used every penny, every savings, and even been soo far in loan debt to pay what he is worth and does. Other Attorneys I have spoken to are all about the money in my Opinion and not for whats the best interest for the children. So if you want attorney, That is Great ( Good is a understatement) and be able to afford, Look no further but CALL HIM!! He had helped me get Custody, A Single father BTW, of my child and prove to the courts how dangerous it would have been if my child was in other parents care. For I know if I went in front of the judge myself and showed all the evidence I would still probably to this day, still be fighting for the best interest and safety for my child. For a MAN it is VERY HARD to get custody and Trust me, I have had nothing but concrete hard evidence and got no results before I was blessed into meeting Jared Hammett one day in Hallway. ( Blessing from the good lord himself) He was able to present it to the courts and prove to the courts something I have tried with other lawyers ( couldn't afford anymore ) and myself for yrs. He is very honest & upfront and lets you know that he will not give up on you ever and be by your side from beginning to the end. As long as I live, This lawyer will be my familys lawyer forever. I would recommend Mr Hammett to Anyone and EVERYONE. And this comes from someone who has had there fair share in lawyers, Especially in my troublesome youth days. He has helped me get custody, Drivers license and guided me to right direction on anything I have asked for. Call him and when you see how good he is and gives you the results you need. Remember reading this and definitely give credit to where credit is due and leave Mr Hammett a review so others will be believers like ME!!
