My Daughter was a 7th grader at Rockingham County Middle School her life was threatened by another classmate and also the Principal was aware of the situation and did nothing about it. My Daughter started having panic attacks and I had to pull her out of School! Attorney Vaughn told me to contact the School Board which I did and they also failed to help us! I went back to see this Attorney and he didnt seem to care and acted like we were to poor to file a Lawsuit against the School! He did not care about us just the money which by the way I did have! I also had plenty of evidence that I knew for a fact I could of won my case! My Daughter has now been homeschooled for over a year she is in the 8th grade but she is on a 9th and 10th grade level so she is way ahead of her 8th grade class and will most likely Graduate at the age of 16! So in the end I feel my Daughter won by learning a lot more not only in Education but also how people only care about money and themselves! My daughter will go on to be a great Doctor and has won a scholorship by being Academically gifted to enter an excellent private School for her remaining High School years! We have relocated and Erykah is still excelling in everything she does! Also I went to see another Attorney just to see about my former case and he also said I would have won my case back in Rockingham County! So dont waste your time find someone with the balls who is willing and not afraid to fight fir you!

+$3000 down the drain - Be forewarned.
Attorney Vaughan was hired to contest a licensing dispute. The consummate salesperson, he bragged about his past tenure in NC government, I heard about his wife, the mayor of Greensboro NC (at the time he was retained), and heard about the relationships, connections and experience he had in the field. He pandered, unsolicited sympathy when I explained the obstacles I had faced when trying to resolve the situation myself. A boatload bunch of "That's, not right" and "I can handle them"s. Payment was provided then... Over the course of several months, Mr. Vaughan became more difficult to contact, even his assistant expressed her sympathy that he was not returning calls or providing updates with my case. After several months and expired deadlines a meeting was secured with the board where he arrived unprepared, despite the fact that I provided his assistant with a detailed portfolio in my defense documents (via certified mail). It was as if he thought we would "BS" his way to a win. When he ran out of unrelated discourse, I stool up and provided my own argument using copies of the same information provided to his office. In the end the panel, which traditionally made decisions on the spot, stated that they would have to adjourn and discuss the issue further. Two months and over $3000 later I received a letter stating my dispute DID NOT end in my favor. Mad, yes, but not for the reason you may think. I lost yes, but his incompetence regarding my case was obvious even to a legal novice. I felt like I had been had by an amateur Madoff.
I speak in detail because I want you to recognize the signs that I ignored. I though I needed a lawyer, and I probably did. Just not this one. Donald Vaughan my be a great litigator, but he dropped the ball in my case. If you choose to hire him, be forewarned and make him prove that he is earning every cent.

I would give Don zero stars but this website doesn't permit such a low rating. I paid this guy for his assistance on a DWI charge. The entire time he represented me, we communicated that we would go to trial and fight my case. I was even instructed to bring my sister to every court date as a witness. When the time finally came, he plead guilty for me. No trial. He gave no effort like a kid showing up for a group presentation that obviously didn't do any of the work. Just stood there and plead guilty. Save your money and hire anyone else in Greensboro. This lawyer obviously has no ethics if he can lie to a client and then plead guilty in court when a guilty plea was never agreed upon or even discussed for that matter.
Asi Jackson, Personal injury Attorney
Relationship: Worked for lawyer
I endorse this lawyer! I worked for Don when I was in my second year of law school. I learned a lot about practicing law and running a firm. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and because of the experience, I was able to hit the ground running when I graduated from law school.
