"I endorse this lawyer. Professor Woodyard taught several classes I was enrolled in during law school. There is a reason the man is teaching law school. He knows the law better than anyone I know. I sat in awe of him during many classes as he effortlessly (from memory) articulated the elements of a crime, and then proceeded to lecture on the defenses (also from memory). The man is a legal machine. He was respected in the legal community as a sharp lawyer prior to joining Charlotte School of Law, and he is still respected among lawyers today. I still meet lawyers in my neck of the woods who know Professor Woodyard and speak highly of him. I endorse him without any hesitation."

"Professor Woodyard is one of the best Law Professors I've ever known. Besides being intelligent and easy to talk to, he really will help you get to the bottom of any issue you are trying to solve. Without Chris Woodyard's help I have no doubt that I would have failed the NC Bar. However, I passed on my first attempt with very limited preparation. I can't recommend him enough."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
