Scott K. Tippett

Hired this attorney for an estate settlement in early 2014. He carried out the normal process and appeared to complete the necessary documents to settle the estate, and he was paid in full for this work. But he failed to deliver any of the documents to the court (per the clerk of court in Alamance C...ounty, NC) despite having been paid. This resulted in a series of threatening letters from the court demanding documents, and Mr. Tippett refused to respond to repeated voice mails and emails over several months until we were forced to file a grievence with the NC State Bar. This filing finally prompted him to communicate with the clerk of court, but the estate is still not settled over 2 years later. Highly recommend NOT using this attorney for any purpose ... he is not competent or trustworthy as an attorney.

After not knowing the correct answer to my questions, he researched and responded ...quickly and I am very pleased with his services. It is very early in my case but so far, he has proved that I made the correct decision on choosing him as my lawyer.

I have worked with Scott on a corporate level over the years, and recently became the go to guy on my own employment contract issue. He explains the law in layman's English... he lays out a plan and options... Scott is a straight up honest guy ... I would highly recommend him to friends and family....
