Closing on new home

Scott did the closing for our new home. Made it very quick and easy. Very personable and answered any questions we had promptly.

I hope I get my money back

I received a consultation from Mr. Tippett earlier this year. My deceased fathers home was set to be foreclosed right after his death. However the county served me with a civil summons wanting payment for taxes on the house and a $21,000 lien. This was despite the fact that I did not inherit the home..., and I live out of state. I was happy with the consultation. Mr. Tippett suggested quit claiming the property so the county would go through with foreclosure and possibly stop coming after me. After the consultation I paid Mr. Tippett $175.00 for the quit claim paperwork to be filed. I never heard from Mr. Tippett again after I made the payment. That was in March. I never received confirmation that the paperwork had been started. After not being able to get in contact with Mr. Tippett for over a month; and a civil summons response deadline looming over my head, I requested that my money be refunded. That was last month and still radio silence. I don't think I will get my money back. $175.00 may not be much for some people, but I am low income. I do not not qualify for legal aide in my home state or in the state where my fathers home is. I have exhausted my resources, and options regarding my legal issue. I am disappointed with my experience with Mr. Tippett. If he was not going to provide the service I paid for he should not have taken my money.
