also known as Jonathan M. Parisi
Jonathan was born in San Diego County, California, but was raised and has spent most of his life in eastern North Carolina. He comes from a military family—his father, Sergeant Major Todd M. Parisi, served nearly 30 years in the Marine Corps, and his mother, Diana Parisi, is a former Navy Corpsman. This upbringing instilled in Jonathan an appreciation for structure, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
Jonathan graduated from Western Carolina University in May 2016 with a degree in Business Administration and Law. While excelling academically, he was also deeply involved in campus and community organizations. He served on the Executive Boards of both the Student Government Association and his fraternity, worked as an Accounting tutor, and acted as a Chancellor’s Ambassador, collaborating closely with the Chancellor to communicate student achievements and concerns to alumni, visitors, and major donors.
In 2018, Jonathan earned his Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law. During law school, he completed his legal residency at Carruthers & Roth, PA, working with a team of nearly thirty attorneys on matters ranging from complex business litigation to estate planning. He also participated in Elon Law’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship Clinic, assisting low-income clients with business formation, intellectual property protection, and contract drafting. Later, he served as a law clerk at The Carroll Companies, one of Greensboro’s largest real estate development firms, where he helped draft and negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts for land acquisition, construction projects, and the company’s first franchised hotel.
Following law school, Jonathan worked as an Associate Attorney at a small Greensboro firm handling estate planning and probate matters. He is now an Attorney at Spangler Estate Planning in downtown Greensboro, where he continues to pursue his passion for estate work. Believing that tomorrow is promised to no one, Jonathan is dedicated to helping clients prepare for unexpected life events, protect their families, and ensure their wishes are honored. He also assists families through the probate process, striving to reduce stress during times of loss.
In addition to his law degree, Jonathan earned a Master of Business Administration from Elon University. He values advising clients on both the legal and financial impacts of their decisions. In his spare time, Jonathan is an avid runner, with completing the Boston Marathon among his proudest accomplishments.

"With much pleasure, I commend my colleague, Attorney Jonathan Parisi, to the people of North Carolina for a whole range of probate-related needs. I have known Jonathan since he was an undergraduate at our mutual alma mater, Western Carolina University, and he was serious even at that time about becoming an attorney and serving his community. The answers Jonathan has posted on this website, and his stellar track record in serving clients since licensure, all demonstrate his mastery of probate administration. Jonathan would be an excellent choice to advise an executor or administrator on estate governance, as well as probate and fiduciary litigation when/if the need arises. My colleague is a credit to the North Carolina Bar, and the state in general."
