I recently retained Charles Lloyd to represent me in my complex, double-felony sex-offender registration violation case. When my son got into trouble, Mr. Lloyd was a straight shooter and kept us informed every step of the way. During the trial, it was like watching "Matlock" at work! He was amazing. Never giving up. I needed serious criminal defense against a very difficult-to-defend false accusation of child molestation and Mr. Charles was frank, to-the-point; and all the advice he gave, courtroom performance, dealings with the plaintiff's side, etc. were as professional as I could have hoped for... I've been i...n court before in a civil case that went three days in trial to jury, and was represented by someone who had all the fancy credentials, but their preparation and court performance was not very good and I lost, so I know the difference between someone who is competent, and someone who is not. And I'm here to tell you, a competent attorney is paramount; especially in the courtroom. It's often the only difference between winning and losing. And, here's the kicker... it's not necessarily how much you pay. I lost the civil case with a very expensive attorney, and I essentially won with Mr. Charles, who is very reasonable on costs/price. Upon Mr. Charles' advice, we went into court and before it even began, he was able to reach an agreement with the plaintiff and their counsel that spared me any criminality, saved me a fortune in further legal costs, and got me back to normal in no time. I was, and am, thrilled with how well it turned out. And, due to the nature of the accusations, there was a very short time table to respond to summons to appear in court. Mr. Lloyd worked around his normal schedule to make it happen to the best outcome possible. The plaintiff did not get the order they sought due to Mr. Lloyd's actions.
