Samuel Richardson III

In 2006 there was a really bad dispute between my partner and I over the final financial compensations for a large construction job we did together. Samuel Richardson was my partner's attorney. I was being accused of cooking the books for my benefit. Samuel facilitated a conversation across the ...table at a neutral location to allow my partner and I to air our positions in hopes that we would not have to use the court system to settle our grievances. He asked pertinent and insightful questions representing my partner. I, representing myself, showed all my financial records [invoices and payouts] for the job in question. His final question was what our profit was. Upon my answer to him and my partner, he turned to my partner and said, "That sounds like a good profit, I do not think you have a case." Samuel was able to convince my partner that I was not gouging him and that what I had done was on the "up and up", fair, and equitable. Not only that but what I value most about Samuel was that he preserved a friendship that has lasted the years since then. For this I am very much in debt to him even though he was the adversarial attorney.
