Mr. Cooley represented me in a very difficult fight with my ex over custody of our children. He kept his focus on what was good for our children no matter how much my ex and my ex’s lawyer tried to twist the case into personal battles between us. I really appreciate how he worked to diffuse the emoti...ons and keep us on track! I met with other attorneys before hiring Mr. Cooley. I hired him because I liked his “no bull” attitude, how he would fight when necessary — but ONLY when necessary, and because of how his retainer spelled out exactly what would be done and how it would be charged. All the other retainers I looked at were legalese gobily-gook that didn’t explain what I wanted explained. I recommend him completely if you have a case that may need a fighter!

My wife and I hired this attorney for custody concerns regarding our kids. This attorney has had multiple infractions with the NC Bar Association. He is very unresponsive to client needs and his logged hours are very inaccurate in his invoices. Also, his contract is extremely misleading with his u...p front retainer in that he KEEPS it in its entirety whether he uses it or not. Don't waste your money, time or put your family at risk with this attorney.
